Hurricane News & small Freebie

I hear that weather forecasters now think Hurricane Joachim will miss my area. Good news. Meanwhile, we are soaked! It's been raining for days and there is minor flooding all around. The barometric pressure has been driving those of us with sinus problems, migraines, arthritis and other ailments crazy. So glad neurologists finally acknowledged that barometeric pressure does effect health! For me, it's been sinus problems over last couple days and this morning I woke with a migraine. So much for going to get my contact lens fitted. Fortunately, they were real understanding about me needing to reschedule. Headache finally gone so thought I'd check in and offer a little something I've been playing with off and on over last few days. I've had these public domain images in my Halloween resource folder for ages. The one of the two costuned kids was from an old, torn out page of a magazine, or maybe someone's scrapbook. Both images were in bad shape. The drummer had part of his leg missing and both images had worn, torn spots. I worked on each separately, filling in blank spots, smoothing, etc. These are kind of cute and I didn't want to lose either so decided to combine the two like a grouping. I think it's useable. The witch was a different thing. McLeod Coffee used to issue paper dolls premiums. I had one of their dolls but not the one meant for the witch outfit which originally was badly printed in a sickly green and yellow. I played with cleaning up the costume and re-coloring it and "borrowed" the head from the paper doll. It's not the best but maybe someone can use it?

Which ones haven't you read but want to read? I was surprised to learn I've only read 8 of these. When I got home from the radiation oncology clinic, I found that our roof was leaking - right over hubby's expensive recliner! So need to have roof and ceiling repaired. Think I've got a couple days of just normal housework then I'm on call for radiation therapy transportation again. We've got 6 weeks of juggling our schudles with Junes' but we'll make it.

Bohemian Boudoir freebie

With high pain levels of recent weeks, it has kept me nicely distracted. Far easier to play at computer than get any housekeeping done lol. However, I'm expecting Jeremy and Berkeley to come down from PA on Thursday and I must finish clearing up the back room so they have a place to sleep. I'd put that new organizer in the closet that was cleared out from Rachel's stay but only put a few things back. Today I'll be pushing myself to clear that room so I can do regular cleaning tomorrow. That way maybe I can have Wednesday to recooperate before they arrive.

I still have a lot of elements to post for Bohemian Boudoir like an armoire, vanity, a number of Bohemians and more. Today I'll tack on another clothing zip.

Of weather & freebies etc

Nothing new to report really. Yesterday we had temperatures up to 53 degrees which helped melt a lot of snow and ice. Today was supposed to be in 30's. I only went out as far as front porch to collect mail. My hand bracelet arrived! Love it. Still not wanting to do much although I did work in Photoshop and have a few things loaded in 4shared for you. Today, how about more journal cards?

Holiday Treat freebie Day 31

First, I'd like to end 2014 with thanks to all my customers and blog friends. Your support and encouragement has been wonderful. I decided to retire both Sher Scraps and Wonderland Scraps effective today but have been asked to continue designing for Digi Style Designs. I really need some time off to attend to other matters, things I want to do for me, education, family stuff and more so I have said I'm taking 3 months off and will then reconsider. In the meantime, I will continue to post freebies here, at least once a week, more if I get on a creative roll. When this post is published, it will be New Year's Eve. Holiday Treat freebie 122414

It's Christmas Eve! All are your stocking hung? gifts wrapped? tree sparkling? You've made cookies for Santa I hope and don't forget to leave a few carrots for the reindeer. Get those little ones snuggled in bed, make yourself a cup of cocoa or eggnog if you prefer, and put your feet up for awhile. Today there are both PU and CU treats for you. I made a 10 inch tree, put a star in package, and then made 4 photo ornament frames. One thought I had was to put family pics in the frames, then shrink the ornaments down to fit the tree and make the photo tree the focus of a paper. Another way you might use them would be to make a pretty background, and string the photo ornaments across the page. I'd love to see what you do. Not just with this package but any of these freebies.

Holiday Treat freebie Day 23

When he was small, my son, Jeremy, started referring to the 23rd as Christmas Eve's Eve. It was always a day of last miute preparations: another batch of cookies to make, a few gifts left to wrap, calls to distant family to be made. It's Saturday, the 20th as I write this and schedule it. There is still so much to be done yet! Mostly cleaning. My mother would have a fit if she were still with us. Mom was a great housekeeper despite working at a full time job. About a week before Christmas, she'd have done a major cleaning of the house. so that on the 23rd she could just go back and touch things up. The idea was to make the house hospitable for the Christ child. And Santa too. I really miss her! Today I've got more papers for you (you should have a big stash by now) and just one more set waiting. Hope you like these.

Yes, I'm half Irish but that isn't why I've got 4 new Celtic themed products lol. The first two are packages of overlays that I created while making my portion of Celtic Charm, which is the Designer Challenge at Southern Comfort Scraps this month. 4 designers participated this time:
