Merry Christmas!

I hope you all will have a wonderful holiday season. I did make a kit for you, A Gnomish Christmas. Gnomes seem to be popular this year and since they remind me of elves, I decided to go with that theme. Hope you enjoy it.

It's a new week

I forgot to mention yesterday that I was woken at 4:30 am by gun fire. Yes, seriously! It sounded close and I was worried about my husband who got up around 2 am. Usually he would be in the computer room at the back of the house, working a crossword or jigsaw puzzle until time for coffee and breakfast. However, with his computer gone, he's taken to sitting in his recliner by the bay window in the living room and playing on his laptop. Since we live on a main street that leads towards one of the naval bases, all I could think of was drive by shooting. There seem to be a lot of mean, frustrated or just plain crazy people around these days. I got up and started to head down the hall and check on him. Heard him on the phone with the police telling them he heard two full clips going off close by. Decided he was fine and there wasn't much else we could do so went back to bed. Took a while to get back to sleep. While I want to keep up my schedule of little freebies for you, want to offer a tiny bit of brightness, I decided to follow the advice of a dear on-line friend, K, who sent me a loving message. I especially appreciate her taking time to do so because I'm aware she has been fighting an illness that has long lasting effects while still having the care of her elderly parents, both of whom have health problems. (I know first hand how draining that can be and have been keeping her in my prayers.) I've been having a difficult time trying to think up some holiday kits for you, and finding time to do justice to the task and that deflates any fun I have with it. I don't think I want to abandon the blog gifts entirely until after the holidays. I think I will stop worring about having something here every Tues, Thursday, and Saturday. I don't think I'll worry about a complete kit of any kind. Instead, I will simply offer a little something - whatever comes to mind - sometime during the week. Following up on my desperate Saturday post of Holiday Basics which were 4 Christmas colored papers, I might do things like give you a few bows, or a few frames, or a cluster. The only thing that remains constant is that whatever is posted during the month, the links for those items expire at the end of the month. That allows me to use a free storage and delivery system. I hope you understand.

Too Much Going On

Too much going on here and not enough getting done. Kind of feeling overwhelmed. 2 repairs on heat/air unit. Husband's PC at the home of a self-employed computer geek who hopes to recover a lot of stuff from the hard drive over next few days. Getting my part done for a Create-a-Kit (Christmas themed) at Magnolia Gardens Scraps but haven't had time to do my part in advertising. Crazy weather changes not helping by giving me headaches. Got some legal paperwork for estate planning I'm trying to get together (they want everything!) Fighting the blues (both of us) as holidays approach and we know we will be alone. Grand-daughter has reached the age where her friends are more important than anything else. She can talk all day with them but can't call us when we were supposed to make plans. That has been going on for a month or more and we're about to give up. Of course, Christmas is coming so we are sure there will be a call to tell us what she'd like to have and I am Not going to run out and do shopping at last minute, not to mention shortages of everythig are expected. Grandson was supposed to close on his house this past Wednesday but the realtor is citing staff shortages as reason to postpone until around the 20th. My son and DIL are stressed and overworked as flu season and Covid hit the health care system hard. The house is a wreck and every time I think I might be able to get caught up, something else interfers. Thought I'd get a lift from doing the monthly challenges at Just Art but it is only helping so much. I've now done all except the Progressive which will start tomorrow. Which reminds me I've got to ready my challenge for December.
But enough whining! Ballerina Girl- Pink is now in my store:
Note: the dolls are the same as those in Ballerina Girl - Purple but there are additional and different papers and elements. Let me tell you a little about the Create - a - Kit (CAK) at Magnolia Gardens Scraps. Right now there are 30 products in the category but more will be added all through December. The deal is this; each package is just $1.00 and Commercial Use okay too. Here is our color scheme:

And no, none of these will appear here on the blog for free. Do I have anything for you today? How about some holiday basics like papers.

This is it - last zip of Ballerina Girl - Purple

Had lunch with the girls today. The couple who had been ill were back and looking good but still a little tired. Earlier in the week, during the two coldest days yet, our heater stopped working. Got that fixed yesterday but was told another part is pretty rusty and about to go so have that on order. My husband's PC crashed - got stuck in a loop and nothing worked to get it going again. He had to resort to reloading Windows 10 which promised it wouldn't delete his other files but did. He was most unhappy.

Gloomy Saturday here & more Ballerina Girl

The temperatures here are finally November like with cloudy skies and threat of rain. Sure contributes to a lazy feeling. Just got news that Magnolia Gardens Scrap is starting a Create a Kit series this month. Of course, this month's theme is Christmas. I need to get busy and do my part plus get back to the Just Art monthly challenges. However, there is the matter of housework and other things in the non-digi world. Here is your next zip: Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lchdf1ummsh91on/6.zip?dl=0
Remember links are only good to end of month.

Ballerina Girl 5

Finally have some November weather here. I want to curl up under blankets with a cup of tea and a good book. Unfortunately, I've played around on PC too long already so after posting, I must take time for a few chores. But first, let me share with you one of my challenge entries for this month. The challenge: create a predominately brown page. Here is what I came up with:

More Ballerina Girl

Nothing much to report here. Feeling a little stupid. Since it has been a good while since I've sold in stores, I'd forgotten how to get my products to show in particular categories. Had the notion that the Zen cart did that for me based on simple tags I add when I load a product. Just couldn't understand why my stuff wasn't showing up in any place other than in the Wonderland Scraps store. Finally got around to asking questions and have now got it under control. But how much easier it would have been had I been copying to categories all along. Lol. Today, headache or no, I must take care of some housework.
