Working on housework and CAK

It's getting ready to rain again. Yesterday and day before there were some pretty severe thunderstorms here on the East coast and NC had tornado damage. Hoping tonight's storm won't be as bad. Had appointments yesterday so today have been doing some housework and working on Mother's Day CAK. Here are the latest items:
When I think of Mother's Day, I think of roses - perhaps because my Mom's name was Rose and she loved the flowers. Several Mother's Days way back, I gave her rose bushes for her garden. Since her death, all but one, a Queen Elizabeth, have died. Dad isn't a gardener. And Mom, being of Irish descent, always maintained that a good "cuppa" (cup of tea) could help with anything from a cold to heartbreak, so I had to do a tea treat package:
Now a little something for you - a charm that you can snag right here:
Yes, you may use it as CU4CU. Hugs!

Trying to improve my flow - & freebie!

I've been participating in the free 21 day meditation challenge called Finding Your Flow. It is sponsered by Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey through Chopra Center. I'm enjoying it very much although I got a little behind due to illness. I'm trying to make up sessions by doing one in morning and another at night. It consists of a daily centering thought, a Sanskrit mantra, daily quotation, daily message recited by Oprah, and a meditation led by Deepak. After meditation, you can respond to thought provoking questions in the journal provided (yes, it's private). Meditation does become easier when you consistently practice and has many health benefits. Some of hte questions raised in the journal are especially fitting right now due to things happening to family members. I encourage everyone to go to the Chopra Center link and sign up for messages and updates about special events like this.
My bronchitis is easing up and I'm hoping to find more energy soon. I made a few things for the May CAK at DigiStyleDesigns; the theme is Mother's Day. Here are some previews:
Have at least 2 more packs ready to load tonight. Almost everything is CU4CU, one or two items CU4PU and all priced between $1 - $4.
Also made you a spring paper (PU & S4H) in the Mother's day colors. I used a doodle from my friend, Baby Cakes Scraps, to create the overlay for this. Hope you like it:
Pick it up here: http://www.4shared.com/zip/9vCQn2cCba/ws_springpaper.html? Hugs!

Another weekend gone & a freebie

Here it is almost Monday again! The congestion in my lungs seems to be clearing - finally! But I didn't manage to do many of the things I wanted to. However, I did get two lengthy long distance phone calls. My brother, who lives in FL, called Friday and we had a good talk. He told me about his trip to CO to see his son and his wife. says he thinks he'll be able to get things settled at home inn a couple weeks, then will make that visit here. The other call was from my son, Jeremy. All is well in PA and they might come for a brief visit about mid May on their way to vacation on Outer Banks. Sure looking forward to that. I'm still trying to clean up hard drives and have made some good progress but that means I didn't create anything new today. However, here is the set of full size plaids:
No, didn't change the preview lol other than to say full size. http://www.4shared.com/zip/dRisQZsZba/ss4cu_plaidbg_full.html? I have come across a number of things from when I used D'Ambrosio Arts as trade name and will be putting those up soon. Might not even change trade name on them. After, all how many D'Ambrosio people do you know? Going to do a meditation session, then to bed. Got away with sandwiches and leftovers during weekend, so I'd better cook a real meal tomorrow and need to get some chores done too. Goodnight and sweet dreams.

Beautiful Spring, upcoming sales, and freebie

The last few days have been nice with spring time temperatures. My friend, Stacy, must have pushed some of that LV warmth this way. All the flowering trees are in bloom as are the azaleas and wisteria. I especially love the dogwood trees which look as though nature has thrown lace across those nearly bare branches. Haven't been out much, just to doctor, grocery and pharmacy. Doctor told me to avoid the tree pollen as much as possible while trying to get my lungs clear. And tonight we are expecting some sort of storm front with hail so, sadly, I expect most of those blooming trees will lose their blossoms. Her's a peek at the colors for the upcoming Mother's Day CAK
Digi Style Designs is preparing for International Scrapbooking Day when there will be lots of sales and special offers. I'm going to put everything (except May CAK items which cannot be sale priced) in Wonderland Scraps on special for $1. Instead of a few days, I'm going to run it all the month of May, so if you are interested, check her on May 1st:

A while back I experimented with a plaid generator. I made a set of 8 plaid backgrounds in full size, tagger, and atc sizes and I'm going to give them away. Tonight it's ATC size, where ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards. If you aren't familiar with ATCs let me give you a quick explanation. ATCs are small pieces of art work intended to be traded among friends. They are always sized at 2.5" x 3.5" - the size of baseball cards - but can be made in any medium: paper, painting, fabric, metal, digital - whatever you can think of. the original intention was that ATCs be traded or given away, never sold. However, over time, some have come to sell completed ATCs, only they are supposed to call them artist cards editions and originals (ACEOs). Really, they are the same thing - tiny art works. All that said, here is the preview of the plaid background set:
Also a sample ATC
Pick up the atc backgrounds here: http://www.4shared.com/zip/LAi5PJmZba/ss4cu_plaidbg_atc.html? Tomorrow I'll post link for the tagger size backgrounds which are 800 x 800 pixels. Besides making tags, I've found that you can piece tagger backgrounds and make bragbook pages with them. Off to meditate. Hugs, SherryD

Hi, I'm S-H-E-R and I have C-O-P-D & a freebie for you

Spent hours today visiting my pulmonologist: breathing test, exam, breathing treatment, and prescriptions. Can't shake this cough and chest started hurting over weekend, so . . . now on antibiotics, cough suppressent, and nebulizer every 6 hours. Hopefully, this will beat it quick now. So, how about some bokeh papers? If you caught earlier post before this edit, please use link as otherwise blogger turns these into 72dpi and you'd have to resize.

It's been a good day . . .

despite getting little sleep again last night. I've caught up on my meditation challenge and journal, did that vacuuming of the living room and hall I've been dreading, tidied up, made a good dinner, and have the 3rd load of laundry in dryer now. Also ran off about 3 or 4 DVDs from hard drive. Then sitting quietly, about 30 minutes ago or so, I noticed discomfort in center of my chest. Haven't coughed all that much today and have seen no infectious signs,so was surprised. Set up the nebulizer and took a breathing treatment and pressure seems to be easing. Just hate the shakiness from albuterol.
Really should have made you something in Easter theme today but was too busy around house. Instead I'm giving you a mini kit I did last year for something at BerryApplicious. It's a romantic theme and is called Forever Love. Please be sure if you download you get all 3 zips.
Elements: http://www.4shared.com/zip/YL1PQc8Jce/ws_foreverlove_elements.html? papers 1 http://www.4shared.com/zip/YL1PQc8Jce/ws_foreverlove_elements.html? papers2 http://www.4shared.com/zip/g6tl4zuxce/ws_foreverlove_papers_2.html? I'd like to wish all my Jewish friends a good Passover and all my Christian friends a Blessed Easter. Many thanks to those who have left me comments. Sending a special hug to Stacey in LV; she always takes time to comment on my status, offer encouragement, and thanks for my little gifts. Send a little of that LV heat our way, please. Hugs, SherryD

Easter paper freebie

Here's a paper I made for a freebie last year at a store that is no more:
This one is CU4CU and you can grab it here: http://www.4shared.com/zip/-us4VJc1ce/ss4cu_BZS_Easter_paper_freebie.html? Really tired tonight and trying to offload some more stuff to DVDs before we do a system update. It's turned cold here and we had rain yesterday and night before. My son got 14" of snow up in PA! Looks like it's going to be clear but cold for Easter sunrise services and egg hunts this weekend. Still, it shouldn't matter since it's not about those Cadbury eggs we love so much but about the gift of salvation we were given when Christ died for our sins. Let us remember his sacrifice and glorious resurrection.

Doing some cleaning

Still croupy (does it ever go away when you have COPD?) but trying to get some things done. Both bathrooms are now clean, kitchen in order and floor mopped, 2 loads of laundry done (this between yesterday and today). Also cleaning up my hard drives as I'm running out of space. Finished and loaded the 2014 Easter kit:
Also loaded a cherry blossom kit:
While cleaning out folders, I came across a tagger kit I made for a benefit way back, under my D'Ambrosio Arts name. Called Lover Never Dies, it's got a goth theme.
If you want it, pick it up here: http://www.4shared.com/zip/OdXoEK7ace/ws_LoveNeverDies.html? Got to run: dinner time. Hugs!

And here are two papers (just different coloring) that I made for my new Easter kit. However, I've decided they are too busy for the look I want. Maybe you can use them?

Kimerick Kreations - you must see

I don't often stop to comment on other digital scrapbook designers, and when I do it's because I find them extraordinary in some way. Such is the case with Kimerick Kreations. I've been a fan of her art for a long while and today just happened upon a link that took me back to her blog. Can't even remember what it was now because once there, I found myself going back and revisiting entries I'd seen before - every page lol. If I had to sum up the feeling I get viewing Kimerick's art work it is this: here is a woman whose work (and life apparently) is all about love, warmth, kindness and joy. Her designs are deliciously colorful, delight the eye and sure to make you smile. Love her templates too! Lots of details to carry the eye all over the page. So why are you sitting there reading my prattle? Go now to http://kimerickreations.blogspot.com/ and become inspired. While there be sure to scoop up some wonderful freebies. I found a bunch of clusters just perfect for art journal pages. And by all means, do keep her going by visiting the Digi Chick store and buy some of her kits. Here is an example of her templates. This one is avaailable on her facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/by.KimericKreations
Thanks for making me smile!
