If you are a fan of Country Liv's Graphics (Liv is a dear friend), you might know that Liv has been waiting for the arrival of her great-granddaughter. Wish you could see the beautiful items Liv has crocheted for that baby and the twins, Willow and Xander. Liv's excitement was contagious so I made a little something for the baby and just put it in the mail today. Running late as little Adalynn Grace was born on the 16th! Sent her a crocheted bunny lovey and a crocheted pacifier keeper clip with a rose. I'd love to show you but still having trouble with the shared printer here and it won't let me read the photo card from my PC. Whenever I think about downloading the photos, it seems hubby is busy on his PC so I can't. Oh well. Had about 8 different places to run to today and am finally home and about to start laundry. First though, today's zip of Steamy Spring:
It includes another paper, a hat stand, and a display of boots.

Art Journal page with Country Liv's Spring Art Journal
Just have to show you a page I made for my art journal using my friend, Liv's, newest art journal kit.First, her preview of kit below and then links to her stores.
You can find this and her other products at BerryApplicious http://berryapplicious.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_229 and Scrapbird http://scrapbird.com/country-livs-graphics-m-179.html
The vibrant colors and wide variety of elements plus papers in both American and European sizes make this a must for your art journal stash. As you know, after some months of being able to do little, I'm making up for lost time and doing some things to perk up my life. This kit worked in perfectly to journal on changes I'm making. In the page below, I cut the rough heart shape from one of the papers and took the partially colored lady in hat and did more coloring to make her a member of the Red Hat Society.
I dont' have a freebie for you today due to being down with sinus headache. The only digi work I've done is to finish up some brushes I was working on yesterday. Tomorrow I promise to have something for you. Hugs!

Art Journal page on The Southern Lady
My friend, Liv, of Country Liv's Graphics is now producing some art journal packages. Take a look at Mother's Journal
The image shows the full bundle but you can also buy just part 1 or part 2. It's at Scrap Bird and her other stores:
http://scrapbird.com/country-livs-graphics-m-179.html
I was telling Liv I was gettingg back into art journaling this year and had created one page so far. That sweetie gifted me with Mother's Journal! As sson as I saw the element of the model, I thought 50's (although it might not be) and that made me think of my mother. Thinking of Mom and looking at the stylish woman, who surely was a lady, made me think of Mom's notion of The Southern LADY. If you've ever heard of The Cult of True Womanhood, also known as The Cult Of Domesticity, The Southern Lady was Mama's version of this. (PS at the end I'll supply a link to the PSB program done about the Cult Of true Womanhood for those who haven't heard of it). I know I've forgotten much of what my mother included but had more than enough to make a page. One thing I could have stated in shorter fashion is :A southern Lady has no bodily functions" which is to say none that others should know about. She doesn't belch, burp, fart, have a period ("friend" was the appropriate term in my childhood), or go to the bathroom for anything other than to powder her nose lol.
And here is that PBS link:

Wacky Tea Time by Country Liv's Graphics
I scrapped some more photos from last summer's tea party that I had given for granddaughter, Inara, with the Wacky Tea Time kit by Country Liv's Graphics.
Liv's kit is so cute! There are 14 papers and 50 elements and all but 2 of the elements were hand drawn by my talented friend. Here is the kit preview:
And here are my layouts.
Above you see Inara when we first let her into the dining room. The layout below shows our tea table. She is anxious for another party but we are going to wait for cooler weather since Nonna (me) cooks all from scratch and it's much too hot for the oven to be on.
You can find Liv's kit at Digi Style Designs

Take a look at very Cherry by Country Liv
Are you looking for a fun, cheerful kit? I recommend Very Cherry by Country Liv's Graphics. Just look at this preview:
You can find it at these stores:

[Hint, hint - it's on sale at link above]

I just let her know it's not in her Scrap Bird store but I'm sure it will be soon.
I had so much fun with this kit! The first paper to catch my eye was this luscious red one and I am not a fan of red usually. It truly is Very Cherry and I love cherries!
I used one of my border templates on the lovely cherry blossom pink paper and added Liv's wonderful swirled border on top of it. Photo of grand-daughter, Inara, was cut with the pretty mask Liv has included with the kit. I'm so tickled with how this page turned out.
The next paper that really caught my eye was this muted plaid that goes with Liv's great "Beautiful" cluster. That cluster makes a beautiful page easy. That's Inara again on the back of her brother, Tyler. I think it's beautiful when siblings get along, don't you? You have to capture those moments because they can be rare, especially when there is a lot of age difference involved.
I couldn't help playing around some more and made 2 tags as well. This one is for Liv:
And this one is a reminder to us all:
Love that bowl, don't you?
