Postscript on Spring Bunnies

Here is an overall preview of Spring Bunnies

It's Thursday & I've got Freebies!

This time next week I'll be in Georgia and hubby will be happily cooking up some of the Italian dishes he loves that I won't eat. Don't think he will miss me much. I managed to twist my left foot a couple weeks ago and thought it was no big deal. No noticeable swelling or bruising so I kept walking. Only the pain didn't go away and I got to thinking I might have a stress fracture and shouldn't travel until I knew what was going on. Monday I spent the morning at the podiatrist's office getting a series of x-rays. Good news: no stress fracture. Some inflammation though so have been babying my foot a little. Finally got together a new kit for you.and also got around to doing the second quarter goal sets. 2nd quarter goal set today and first zip of Spring Bunnies. I'll prescheduled more zips for while I'm away so check in Tues, Thurs, and Sat.

Just a note

Glad we finally solved the zip 25 problem. Dropbox changed up some of the appearances of things and it threw me for a loop. Was used to being able to access from my desktop with clear way to copy link. But anyway. . . .
I'm going to take a few days off from posting as I try to put together something new and spring like for you.

This is my first time doing a progressive scrap challenge. Each day (we have one more to go) we are given instructions on what we are to include in our page.

Two papers, one bordering another, plus light brushwork down the center third.
Day 2
Add photo (specifics on size and where) and some light brushwork. Specifics re double framing.
Day 3
3 elements of choice in opposite corner from photo with slight touch to photo's edge.
Day 4
Border cluster.

Try this

Let me know if this link works. Dropbox has changed some things and is trying to make me pay for professional mode to share links

Dropbox help!

I've been told link still not working and someone said I must have it set to personal use only. I didn't change anything and when I go to Dropbox to try to change to make available, the only option I get is to "share" a link with specific person. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Today was one of my lunch with retirees days. We went to Applebee's. It was just okay. After lunch 3 of us went to the movies to see a psychological thriller called Greta. Not bad but nothing I'd see again. Cox Communications due out tomorrow to fix phone service and we will be complaining about internet too. It is super slow and freeezes up. My husband is so frustrated with Cox, which we have had over twwenty years, he is threatening to pull all Cox products - phone, cable TV and internet and go with Verizon. Will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings.

More art nouveau today:

Here are some more of my challenge pieces:
For March clean & simple challenge, we had to have a patterned paper and plain paper, with the plain paper covering no more than 1/3 of the page. Then we were to take one photo and make 3 small squares from it. We also needed 3 flowers, an ink or paint spotch and a word strip. Here is what I came up with:

For an altered photo challenge, I used a photo of my Mom that I found last year after Dad died. I had never seen it before. She appears to be about 13 and I'd guess this was taken for one of her piano recitals. She is so cute but the background was so ugly. (You can see the original in the upper left corner.) So I extracted Mom and gave her a nicer background.

Some purple for today's freebie

I've committed to doing at least 2 digital art challenges each month but more if possible. I shared my first two of the month Tuesday. Here are 3 more:
That's the pic for the mood board with the addition that if we have a birthday this month that could be used as inspiration too. I chose, green, water, and birthday and here is what i came up with.
The next challenge had 2 parts. First, choose a photo or picture and pull 3- 5 colors from it. since I'm trying to break out of my comfort zone, I used this vintage postcard.
Part 2 was to make any kind of layout using the photo and chosen colors. Here is what I came up with.
And the challenge I completed today was to take a photo or picture and come up with a sketchy effect. Took a cutout from photo of my son and added it to a space background. Ran an action from GrahicRiver that isn't made for PSE (can't find my CS3) and got interesting background but didn't like effect on Jeremy. Took cutout to another window and used PSE's watercolor filter, then added the cutout back to background.

Today I've got some purple art nouveau for you.

Freebie time

Just spent about 3 hours at DMV to get my license renewed. At least I thought to bring along my Kindle so I could read. Things happening for a change. My birthday is Sunday and I'll be 68, which is why I had to go to DMV to get new photo made. My son and DIL will be here on Saturday for a short visit. Haven't seen them since last May. Additionally, I got a call from my dearest friend, Sandy, who moved from Richmond (just 2 hours away) about 6 years ago after her husband died. She now lives in Georgia. Too far! Haven't seen her for about 4 years now. We are planning a reunion in April. Her older sister, Wanda, also a good friend, lives west of Richmond and hasn't been to Georgia in a couple years. Wanda and I are going to fly into Georgia from our respective locations on April 3rd so Sandy only has to make one trip to airport. Leaving husband here to fend for himself for unknown length of time. I figure about 10 days at least but could be a little more as Wanda and I plan to come back to Virginia when Sandy is ready to drive up and see her daughter. I am so excited! Already thinking about packing lists and so forth.

But back to reason for today's post. More art nouveau. You will surely have enough by the end of this week to do a whole book in art nouveau.

My challenge entries and some art nouveau (freebie) for you

It's Saturday and my husband and granddaughter are at a Blue Grass concert. I'm supposed to be doing some cleaning and sorting housework stuff. But the day has gotten away from me. I decided I'd do just one of the monthly challenges from Just Art. How long could that take? And maybe go through a little of today's e-mail. Hmm. I first did the card challenge using Asian Ink kit by Rosie Designs.
Looked at some e-mail, then decided to do one more challenge. This one was simple: scrap any Irish quote, blessing, etc. So I pulled pieces from my own Irish kits and came up with this:

Spoke with my husband's first wife on phone about when she was to deliver granddaughter to concert hall. Ordered a new type of 1/4" seam guide for my sewing machine. (The new machine that is still in box!) And sent an e-mail to a dear friend about how long to plan on staying when I visit her next month. Have to get flight set up. And now, here it is nearly 6 p.m.! I get ready to [post today's zip only to find out I hadn't packed it up and zipped it. [sigh!] Got to pull myself together and stop playing. Here is your freebie.
