Hang onto you boot straps! That second day after the second dose was pretty rough. (We received Moderna. I also suffered side effects after the first shot -rash at injection site and a golf ball sized lymph node in my neck.) Was told to keep ibuprofen and acetaminophen on board the second day. It helped all the joint aches but the thing I found hard to deal with was the brain fog. That lasted two days and then back to normal. Prayers for short lived side effects. And congrats on being fully vaccinated. Kristy
I thank you so much for "Quirky" and must say that it is absolutely beautiful.
I've had my two shots in February--Pfizer--no symptoms with the first shot, and the second shot I got the shivers and the shakes about 8 or 9 hours after the shot. I felt so bad that I went to bed after about 15 minutes of no control over it, and finally to sleep and woke up in the morning as if nothing had happened. DH got a slight headache at the same time and it went away also during the night.
Yes, the problems this country is in is very sad--so many people that can't be controlled and upset about all the happenings. I don't blame some of them, but physical violence is not the answer. My city has had protests during the past year--it's not the locals that live here but the outsiders that get everything going--they toss bricks through the store windows, etc. When the threat came a second time all the store owners boarded up what left of the windows and nothing got fixed until 3 or 4 "peaceful" months had passed. We live in a city and we know when we see helicopters circling above what that means.
Anyway, hoping that your hand will be alright and sorry to hear of the mishap. I tripped and fell Easter night, ended up at the hospital next day for x-rays and it was not broken. However, pain so bad that next week I went to the sports clinic at the hospital and got it all looked over, etc., and ended up with a boot. Not broken, just sprained, but very painful and told it will be about 8 weeks before it's better.
Are we having fun yet? N-o-o-o-o--o--o, and am hoping that you will be feeling better soon. Take care of yourself first as anything else can wait.
