Breath of Spring part 2

Thanks for nice comments on new kits and kind words and prayers for my friends in GA. Things seem to be improving there. My son's second epidural brought no relief. Looks like it is back to the orthopedic and possible surgery. He is miserable enough that he got approved for intermitent FMLA. Good because it holds his job should he have to take some time off but bad because DIL is only working part time right now and his time off woud mean financial difficulties. he says right now it is just a matter of one day at a time.

It's another Monday and once again, I'n getting little done. One of those low energy days. I do, however, have a new kit for you with a Spring theme. I'm calling it Breath of Spring. TOmorrow I have lunch with the girls, then Wednesday I head back to PT. Only news here, and it's good, is that my friend's son who was in hospital with Covid pneumonia was released yesterday and no longer has to be on oxygen.

Husband and I got our 2nd Covid vaccinations today. So far, only my arm hurts, but last time it was the day after that I had problems so we will see.

I left my own comment for yall under yesterday's comments. What a rough time we are all having! I'm worried about Kristy, who, if I remember correctly, lives up near where the troubles are happening in Minnisota. With the craziness that is erupting again after recent shooting, please be extra careful. What's really scary with all this racial unrest - shooting of Blacks, attacks on Asian-Americans etc. - is that summer isn't here yet. From my sociological training, I know violence escalates in hot weather, so I am not looking forward to rising temperatures in weather and people. We've all been restricted in so many ways for so long now, summer will not be pretty! Also, the lessening of health and safety restrictions has caused another upswing in Covid related illnesses. We really must do our part to help improve the health of all and beyond masks and clean hands, I believe making an effort to release a little more kindness and love into the world can only help. I'm about to head up to urgent care because Monday night as I was leaving the living room to go into the kitchen, I had a stumble that sent me flying forward. I managed to catch myself by reaching out with my left hand and grabbing the edge of the buit in bookcase, smacking my hand hard. No visible bruising and I could move my fingers so just expected a little soreness. But by last night I could see a lump (not soft and fluid filled) on the palm edge of my thumb and I've got pain radiating up my forearm. Probably nothing that can be done about it but after having so much trouble getting to sleep last night I think I'll have it checked. Off my soapbox now and on to a freebie.

Way late with this second zip but last week had several things going on. A dear friend, Wanda C died suddenly of kidney failure. She was a long time diabetic and had some other health issues but kidney disease had not been diagnosed to the best of my knowledge. Learned the news from my dearest friend and confidant, Sandy R, in a phone call. We were on the phone talking about this and also about Sandy's son and his family. The son's family had Covid very early on but recently developed it again. At this point the 3 children are doing well but both husband and wife have Covid pneumonia. Scary. Sending lots of prayers their way. Also had PT two days back to back. Definitely not the optimal way to do it but Medicare's rule that it must be one patient to one therapist and no one else in pool at same time has made scheduling a problem. Have to go Thursday and Friday this week. Posting tonight because I have my lunch group tomorrow and will follow that with a hunt for a new swimsuit as the one I'm using is getting worn.

Something a little different

but not much lol. The newest kit is something I've called Quirky. I liked the color palette and basically made a bunch of things in those colors.

I've been busy working on dialogue for a story I've got running around in my head which started with 'hearing' 2 characters bantering with one another. No, I'm not crazy and not really hearing voices. Lots of people who write comment on snatches of dialogue coming to them out of the blue or daydreaming situations. Anyway, my fun time has been absorbed by doing art challenges for Just Art and writing. Hope everyone is doing well. I do appreciate your kind comments.
