Enjoyed hearing about your "life" this past month....so much like mine, I could have written it!!! Our house is same age, so dishwater leaked?? but my hubby fixed it, we probably would have had to take out the hardwood floor in front of it, because the water was splashing out around the door seal, so he screwed in new seals (2 kinds) and it is working fine now. Then our heating stove just turned off (so happy we were here when it happened and 10 below weather). It seems some "element" needed to replaced or get a new heater which is not nearly as well made as the old one??? And our expensive toilet (silent one) no longer will shut off--parts aren't available, so it also needs to be replaced. And I don['t even want to talk about the computer problems--same thing--they are all (4) getting old. I too have a stand alone cd player and even have a stand alone 3 1/2 disc Player (I can't find time to move the 100's I have with genealogy files on them.) Love my Amazon Fire and now it has a charging problem, and hubby's IPAD won't connect with internet any more. So just sharing our technology grief!!! Just about forgot. I left my smart phone in the car last winter and it was so cold the glass screen cracked because I think it froze and the new phone is a nightmare!
