I'm Back! And have a new free kit.

This year is starting to be better than last. After all the neurological testing and visits to a spine center, I finally got an epidural injection last week for my cervical spinal stenosis problem. At that point I had limited range of motion in my neck and with left arm (couldn't move it above shoulder height at best) and pain all down neck, into left shoulder and arm. Went in to ambulatory surgical center at 6 a.m. with a pain rating of 7-8 which would typically worsen as the day went on. Next day my pain level was down to 3-4 with improved range of motion! Monday I had a follow-up at spine center and let doc know his office had not scheduled the MRI of lumber spine (he suspects slipped disc there) and I made 5 unsuccessful calls to his referral assistant to get it set up. He wasn't happy. But that is scheduled now for next week. I was, however, happy to show him the improvement since epidural. I felt so good, we stopped a Walmart on way home to pick up a few things. My husband wasn't feeling good so I went in by myself. His favorite coffee creamer was on bottom shelf in refrigerated section and way in the back. Couldn't find a nearby Walmart associate so I got down on my knees and stretched to reach the product. Got it but then found I couldn't get up. I tried using the shopping cart to pull up but was getting no where and wrenched my neck shoulder area. Ended up getting a gentleman about my age to help me up. So embarrassed and angry too because I worried about the inflammation setting back in. At home used Tylenol and ice pack to treat the area. Better but definitely not as good as before. Still, what an improvement. My thanks to all who wrote in to ask if I was okay and send positive wishes.

My plan was to do a little January kit for you and then a better kit for Valentines Day. What I have come up with, here at the last of January, is Winter Frost. In my area of Virginia it has been warmer than usual with little or no frost to speak of and no snow. However, February is usually when we have the worst snows if there is going to be any. And with that I give you the first zip of Winter Frost:

Welcome back! I was so hoping you were enjoying family during your hiatus. So sorry you were dealing with medical issues. Glad you are feeling better with some improvement to movement. ;)

Thank you for the beautiful Frost kit. Here in MN we have many snow covered trees that look so much like the ones in today's kit.

So good to read that you have had some medical help. Hope it continues and that you will soon be pain free.

Thank you for all the wonderful kits--the winter kit for now is gorgeous, and we haven't had any good snowstorms in my area (New England) but as you say, February could be our snowy month. I miss you when you and was hoping that all was well with you, and it's nice to see you here again. Wishing this New Year to be good to you. Bernie
