That's my son, Jeremy, and his girlfriend, Berkeley. The photo was taken when they went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA for Howloween last October.

Don't you Love Cherry Blossoms?

Okay, it's a little late in the year to see them but I came across a kit by AJ's Random Scraps called Cherry Blossom at Sunflower Scraps Boutique and it made me think about the short lived beauty of the cherry blossoms. You can find her kit here:

Here are a couple of layouts I made with AJ's Cherry Blossom:

The top page shows a photo of the cherry trees in Washington DC during our national cherry blossom festival.

I really liked the look of the cherry tree paper and didn't want to detract from it so used the flowers and pearls in the kit to create frames for the photos of Japanese performers.


While this is a small kit (only 8 papers), I think it captures the delicate and fleeting beauty of the blossoms it is named for.
